Empowering young people to build skills, confidence, and connection.

About our youth mentoring

We believe that every young person deserves the opportunity to thrive. Our evidence-based youth mentoring programs are designed to walk alongside young people as they navigate life’s transitions, offering guidance, connection, and practical support.

Whether in schools, homes, or community settings, our team builds trusted relationships that help young people develop life skills, strengthen a community and family connections, and move towards independence with confidence.

How we support young people

Our mentoring programs are designed with our expert team and feedback from the community, with a commitment to building healthy, strong, and thriving young people.

We offer a range of mentoring and capacity-building programs across these key areas:

Life skills mentoring
We provide one-on-one or group mentoring with young people to build practical skills, confidence, stronger relationships, and readiness for adulthood. Our mentoring program is flexible and tailored to meet the unique needs of the young people we work with and includes decision-making, goal setting, making positive choices, self-care, communication, and relationships. Our life skills mentoring is available in community.

Youth justice system
We support young people who are involved in, or transitioning out of, the youth justice system. Our team provides non-judgemental and culturally responsive guidance to help young people rebuild trust, reconnect with community, and move on with purpose. We take a strengths-based approach, with a focus on reducing the risk of reoffending, building a stronger connection to community and culture, and providing life skills training to help young people thrive.

Cultural connection
We recognise that culture is a vital source of strength and identity for young people. We create the space for cultural connection, celebration, and learning, supporting young people to feel proud of who they are and where they come from. We prioritise culture in the community through mentoring programs in schools and cultural initiatives in the community. Cultural connection is also a core pillar in our out-of-home residential care model.

Eligibility and location

Our youth mentoring services are available to young people aged 12 – 17 across Queensland, including those involved in child safety and youth justice systems. Programs are delivered in schools, homes, and community settings.
